Sponsored Hours Application

Fill out the form if you would like your volunteer event to be sponsored by LASA NHS.

 

Your event must fit these three rules:

1. The event must be open to ALL NHS members.

2. You must submit the proposal with a MINIMUM 1 week notice.

3. You must have a LASA associated faculty sponsor.

4. Must align with the NHS values of elevating a culture of scholarship, promoting community service, demonstrating leadership, and advancing individual character

What are sponsored and unsponsored hours? Sponsored events are volunteering opportunities that are approved by LASA NHS and are presented to LASA students directly by our organization as volunteer options. Many events within LASA will count as sponsored hours. Unsponsored hours are any volunteer hours students do that are not directly approved by LASA NHS, and these hours are most often performed with a volunteering org/non-profit outside of LASA.

NHS members are required to receive 15 hours per semester, of which at least 5 are sponsored. If the minimum of 5 sponsored hours is not met, members are required to receive 30 hours in total.
